On October 14, 2020, Guangdong Provincial Government donated 7000 face masks to the Solomon Islands Government alongside a donation of 8,000 face masks from Jia Shu Rong He International Company, a private Chinese company that operates in the Solomon Islands. The masks were handed over in a meeting between the Chinese Ambassador to the Solomon Islands (Mr.

Li Ming) and the Health Minister of the Solomon Islands (Dr. Culwick Togamana).
