Grant Description

On January 11, 2019, the Chinese Government and the Government of Tunisia signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) as well as an exchange of letters, which committed RMB 272 million of grant funding for a Stability Maintenance Project.

The agreements were signed by Tunisian Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Hatem Ferjani, and President of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), Wang Xiaotao, at the end of a working session.

Wang stated at the time that he 'understands Tunisia's concerns and is willing to promote the project to be implemented in Tunisia as soon as possible with the close cooperation of Tunisia.' AidData was not able to identify any evidence of project implementation as of August 2022.
