Grant Description
On September 2, 2020, the Chinese Government and the Lebanese Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), which committed an RMB 100 million interest-free loan (captured in Record ID#89785) for projects to be decided upon later and an RMB 50 million grant (captured in Record ID#89786) from China to Lebanon for the implementation of humanitarian aid projects and other projects mutually agreed upon between the two governments.

1) Given that the loan was distributed through an ETCA, AidData has assumed that the Chinese Ministry of Commerce is the funding agency; similarly, AidData has assumed that the loan's grace period and maturity follow the typical 10-year grace period and 20-year maturity that comes with an interest-free MOFCOM loan via an ETCA.
