Grant Description

On April 23, 2021, the Kiribati Parliament hosted a ceremony where the Chinese embassy to Kiribati donated exercise equipment and Chinese books to the Parliament.

Specific quantities of equipment and books donated are unknown, but the Kiribati Parliament Speaker said the equipment would be used by the Parliament to convey good health to people, and the books would be used to learn about Chinese history and their development experience. At the same event, Chinese embassy also held a culinary exhibition for the spouses of Members of Parliament.

Over 20 spouses attended, including the wife of President Taneti Maamau.
