Grant Description

On December 20, 2019, the National Project Management Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted the 2019 Uzbekistan-China training course summary meeting. The course had students train in China.

Uzbekistan’s Deputy Director Parker, Deputy Director Maksudov, and Uzbek Business Administration Principal Abdulaupo attended the summary meeting, as well as 65 representatives of trainees sent to China shared their learning insights. The training content focused on bilateral practical cooperation and covered a wide range of fields.

Experience, improving vocational skills, and broadening horizons provide were the focus of the training.

After returning from China, the trainees were to apply what they learned to promote the economic development of Uzbekistan.

Over the entire period of cooperation (2018-2019), the Agency with the Office of the Counselor for Trade and Economic Affairs of the Embassy of the PRC, represented by the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, successfully organized more than 300 seminars and trainings on various topics for public sector employees of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

More than 1800 listeners from ministries and departments took part in them.

  • On November 28, 2019, the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter - NAPM) held a meeting with the representatives of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan (ECCO) and Peking University.
  • NAPM- China provides seminars to government ministries Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
