Grant Description
China Eximbank pledges 200 million RMB credit line to Ecuador Ministry of Finance On November 20, 2007, the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Ecuador signed a framework agreement with the Government of China, which pledged an up-to 200 million RMB credit line from the Export Import Bank of China.
The agreement carried a three year period over which a loan contract could be signed, or the framework agreement would become void.
No evidence has been found of such a loan contract being signed, and such a loan does not appear in later lists of the Ministry of Finance of Ecuador's outstanding credits.
