Grant Description

On December 6, 2019, the Chinese ambassador to Congo, Ma Fulin, donated one hundred bowls, one hundred sheets, and one hundred blankets for children affected by severe flooding in parts of northern Congo.

This donation was made on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Congo and was received by the Minister of Social Affairs and Humanitarian Action, Antoinette Dinga-Dzondo in Brazzaville.

Heavy rains begain in October 2019; regions affected by flooding included Bouanéla, Epena, Impfondo, Enyellé, Dongou, Bétou and Liranga in Likouala; Pikounda, in the Sangha; Mossaka, Bokoma, Tokou, Loukoléla, Makoua, Owando, in the Cuvette; and Makotimpoko then Mpouya, in the Plateaux. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
