Grant Description

On 30 August 2004, representatives of the Chinese Government and Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo signed a protocol agreement dispatching the 11th medical team to the DRC.

The Chinese personnel would be stationed at three different hospitals (1 in Brazzaville and 2 in Pointe Noire) between 2004 and 2006. The 32-person team was comprised of 27 doctors, 3 translators, and 2 chefs. The Chinese side was responsible for travel fees, living expenses, and work costs. The DRC side was responsible for providing housing, utilities, furniture, drivers, and tax exemptions.

The 11th medical team's exact date of dispatch to the Democratic Republic of Congo is unknown.
