Grant Description

In 2018 the Chinese Government provided scholarships to several Nigerian universities.

The scholarships were in honor of Nigeria and China's 47-years of diplomatic relations and their shared independence date of October 1st.

The scholarships were provided in 4 groups of 47, 1 group of 48, and 1 group of 45, and were valued at 100,000 naira each. They were presented by the Chinese ambassador to Nigeria, Zhou Pingjian.

The scholarships were presented to: Ahmadu Bello University (#86736); University of Calabar (#86917); Modibbo Adama University of Technology and Adamawa State University (#86919); Nnamdi Azikiwe University (#86993 and #87063); University of Jos (#87027); University of Benin, Ambrose Alli University, and Edo University (#86944)
