Grant Description
Civic Education: This funding will support a comprehensive civic education program that operates throughout the country and whose goal is to help educate young Bosnians about the basic concepts of democratic society, human rights, and tolerance.
This funding will support civic education through the development of curricula, standards, and textbooks, as well as ongoing nationwide teacher education and in-service teacher professional development.
Special programming will support homestay-based intercultural exchanges of students and teachers from different ethnic and religious backgrounds as well as interethnic cooperative projects in the field of civic education implemented through local school systems and other academic instituions.
