Grant Description

On January 25, 2010, following a 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Haiti, the Chinese government granted 20 tons of medical supplies worth 18 million RMB (about 2.64 million U.S. dollars) to the Government of Haiti for emergency response efforts. The materials included medicines, hygiene equipment, medical devices and camping equipment.

The equipment arrived on January 25, delivered by a 40-person medical team (see Record ID#40193). This medical team helped distribute the supplies.
