Grant Description

Project Imagine brings together Azeri and Armenian Edmund Muskie Program fellows for confidence-building exercises and conflict resolution seminars in the United States in the course of their fellowship.

The program provides future leaders of both countries a chance to move beyond stereotypes, identify ways of overcoming obstacles in conflict situations, discuss the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict in a neutral venue, and outline joint approaches to contribute to the peace process. After the program, the students keep in contact through Internet-based fora.
