Grant Description

Funds will be used by the U.S. Embassys Public Affairs Section to establish an additional American Corner in Kirov. American Corners, which are set up as partnerships between the U.S.

Government and a local public institution, reach out to exchange program alumni in the region and serve as a focal point for U.S. activities for a broad cross-section of the public. Each American Corner provides access to books, CD-ROMs, computer equipment for Internet access and hands-on training. The American Corner can also act as a venue for guest speakers and discussions on important issues of the day.
