Grant Description

On March 24, 2004, the Chinese Government and the Government of Myanmar signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), which committed RMB 50 million of grant funding for multiple projects.

The grant was for a number of projects which included the renovation of Yangon National Cultural Theatre at the cost of Yuan 12.4 million (recorded in Record ID#49941), and the rice milling machine installation project (recorded in Record ID#64998).

As part of this ETCA, the Chinese government also provided an RMB 200 million interest-free loan, which is recorded in Record ID#64759.
