Grant Description

On July 10, 2009, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Liberian Vice President Joseph Boakai witnessed the signing of an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA) granting 70 million RMB (about $10 million USD) for multiple projects.

The known sub-projects are as follows: (1) 2 million RMB for anti-malaria drugs (#1715), and (2) 400,000 RMB for dispatching a Chinese technical team to survey the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Construction Project in Congo Town (#1713). How the rest of the ETCA grants funding was spent is unknown.
