Grant Description
Business Journalism: This course will introduce students to business and economic concepts and show them how to cover all aspects of business and the economy.
They will learn how to cover private and public companies; how to read and interpret financial statements and annual reports; how to make business news understandable for the average reader.
The program's overall objective is that upon completing the course students will have a basic understanding of business and important economic factors and will be able to use this knowledge to better cover local economic and business trends.
