BladeX: Blade Compressor Expansion

Lontra has launched and taken orders for its first product, the 80kW LP2 low pressure, oil-free compressor. A new technology for positive displacement compressors, it has demonstrated energy savings of over 34% against competitor, traditional blowers. As well as rapid return on investment, the LP2 is inherently very reliable, maximising uptime, with no loss of performance over years of use.

This project, over the next 14 months, will expand Lontra's reach in the low pressure compressor market in three important areas: it will increase the areas of operation of the LP2, adding outdoor use and environmentally difficult applications; it will be certified for use in new markets around the world; and it will design the 160kW LP4, adding a large compressor to the range. In future, Lontra will build upon this first product range to bring the benefits of its compressor technology to other applications, such as vacuum pumps, refrigeration compressors, and higher pressure oil-free air.
