Spotting and identifying humans and target objects in noisy marine environments is inherently difficult whether for Search and Rescue or Defence. Waves and sea spray create a chaotic environment where human and vision systems become confused. Light glare, darkness and mist compound this.
Zelim's Patent Pending sensor agnostic software, known as ZOE, brings order to that chaos, detecting, identifying and alerting users to dynamic objects.
ZOE is an AI enabled maritime object detection and tracking solution capable of detecting people and other specified objects such as RIBs, jet skis etc. in day, night, fog, mist or storm. It assists the human in search operations by increasing the probability of detection in all conditions. It also can be used as a passive security/safety system that is always watching and sends automatic alerts upon detections, increasing the chances of detection whilst reducing the burden of monitoring on personnel. The key value propositions are:
1\. Time -- Reduced Search Times, by improving the probability of detection using AI.
2\. Certainty -- Detects a casualty/ target object in the water 6X further than the human eye in low light conditions and does not tire.
This project will deliver a market ready AI enabled detection and tracking solution that will enhance search operations, by providing a greater probability of detection and a consistent level of detection performance across a range of use cases.
