In collaboration with a local community-based organization, Social Action for Women (SAW), the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) will estimate the scope of sex and labor trafficking in Mae Sot, Thailand.
Through intervention monitoring, the JHSPH will provide SAW with enhanced skills and capacity for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of its programs, and provide valuable data on the reach and impact of their services.
By providing evidence-based data, this project will advance the fields understanding of the prevalence of human trafficking and its risk factors within a major transit community, as well as inform the development of best practices for assisting victims.
