Using State Department AF Regional ESF resources, IPHD will work with local partner, Caritas, to build an effective TIP awareness raising program and implement measures to protect and care for trafficked children in the Central African Republic (CAR).
Caritas will develop materials describing the trafficking situation in CAR based on an assessment, use radio drama to raise awareness of TIP, establish a legal center within Caritas, create a shelter for rescued child TIP victims, and work to reintegrate these children into their families and communities.
The project implementers will also hold workshops for local NGOs on strategies for developing and implementing action programs to prevent trafficking of children and on effective advocacy techniques for use with the CAR government.
