Grant Description

The Department of Justice (DOJ)/Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) is conducting activities to help implement the new anti-trafficking in persons (TIP) laws and to strengthen targeted law enforcement responses to TIP cases, with a particular focus on forced labor.

This project builds upon the G/TIP funded OPDAT Intermittent Legal Advisor activities of 2008.

DOJ/OPDAT is providing comprehensive training and mentoring of prosecutors, judges, law enforcement, and non-governmental organizations in four multi-regional workshops on the new legislation.
