Grant Description

UEI is the auxiliary organization authorized to accept and administer grants though California State University, Sacramento.

UEI will develop a partnership with The Peking University Woman Law Studies and Legal Aid Center (WLSLAC) and local NGOs. The project aims to collaborate with women's federations in provinces where trafficking cases are frequently found.

Activities will include: administering a survey in target areas to learn the extent of TIP and needs of victims; conducting an extensive public awareness campaign; training legal, criminal justice, and community-based professionals; and presentation of a research report and legislative recommendations for improved policies and laws on the suppression of trafficking.
