Grant Description

UNODC intends to build on their recent G/TIP project to close loopholes in the anti-TIP legal framework, train criminal justice officials at lower levels and in additional provinces, and further develop awareness and support for victim rights and protection.

This project will strengthen national legislation; coordinate an anti-TIP response through training government officials; support high-level multi-stakeholder meetings; conduct awareness raising activities; and strengthen access to legal services in 30 communities and to victims in three shelters.

The project also aims to enhance knowledge of criminal justice practitioners and further develop the Core Training Group of Lao officials on human trafficking.
