Grant Description

This project will support the completion of a short film which depicts the realities of modern day slavery.

The 15 minute film .Lullaby. is a provocative work that deals with issues of TIP and the brutal exploitation of foreign women in Cyprus. It traces the story of a Ukrainian woman trafficked into the Cabaret business in Cyprus.

Once completed, the film will be entered into international film festivals and screened on Cypriot Television as well as in cinemas. The filmmakers also intend to have the film available for screening at various events organized by the U.S. Embassy in Cyprus to bring to the surface the issue of trafficking in persons.
