Grant Description

IOM developed and manages the global human trafficking database, which is the largest single repository of primary, single case data on assisted trafficked persons.

This project will build on the successes of a current grant and will raise global awareness on all forms of human trafficking through the analysis and dissemination of data contained within the system as well as action-based research.

IOM will ensure best practices for the collection, storage and processing of standardized victim-specific data as they work on external piloting of the system among civil society organizations and foreign governments.

This will not only strengthen the capacity of such countries to collect better data, but will eventually result in an improved knowledge base of the trafficking situation globally.
