Grant Description

Heartland Alliance proposes to protect Iraqi victims of sex trafficking through training and linking law enforcement, human rights, and women's organizations into a protection network located in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. Heartland Alliance will conduct training sessions that focus on basic care and identification of victims.

Training of trainers will be provided to focus on victim identification, care, and protection in addition to guidelines on referring victims to essential services.

A directory for referrals in each country will be developed in addition to bi-monthly coordination meetings between law enforcement and service providers.
