Grant Description

Coalition Against Trafficking in Women-Asia Pacific (CATW-AP) plans to expand its project on educating young men on gender issues, sexuality, and the consequences of prostitution as methods to reduce the demand which fuels sex trafficking, as well as addressing young women's vulnerability to sexual exploitation.

CATW-AP hopes to achieve this by implementing young men's and young women's separate educational camps focusing on gender issues, sexuality, and sex trafficking.

CATW-AP will use existing program modules and experienced facilitators and trainers to provide education and counseling to youth participants.

To address the reintegration needs of survivors of trafficking, CATW-AP will work with three survivor groups on peer counseling to develop self-sufficiency and promote successful reintegration and empowerment. CATW-AP will also train individuals to use software for documentation of sex trafficking and prostitution.
