This project will build on existing partnerships with local organizations and groups to expand capabilities in Tenaganita.
Activities will include community education and specialized services to TIP survivors in Penang; establishing information and referral services for vulnerable Vietnamese workers; training counselors on promising practices for assisting TIP victims; and achieving sustainability through increased community support for anti-trafficking work.
The project will create a team of lawyers and advocates engaged in anti-TIP work in Penang and will provide training on identification, support, and referrals for victims.
In addition, this project will strengthen the NGO community and enable the development of a national action plan and the formation of a standard operating manual for anti-TIP activities. Project implementation will include data collection and a performance evaluation.
