Human Rights and Democracy Fund - NED Sub-Saharan Africa Democracy Small Grants [through NGO - United States Other].

Promote democracy, civil society, peace, conflict resolution, and greater openness in Africa by funding approximately sixty programs with focus on the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, and Liberia, strengthening NED engagement in the surviving dictatorships of Togo, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, while seeking openings in Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, and Burundi and enhancing the NED program in Nigeria, Cote dIvoire and democracy activists in Zimbabwe.
