Grant Description

U.S. State Department, Bureau of East Asia and Pacific Activity for Enhancing Community Empowerment Radio Program.

The goal of this project is to develop media initiatives with Fijian women (including the .mobile women.s community radio initiative.), identify the causes of women.s marginalization in civic/political decision making, and use media technology to highlight and address women.s issues in order to help empower them.

Specifically, femLink-Pacific will create public service announcements for women based on rural interviews, launch a .Status of Women Report., hold a program partners meeting , and launch a .Women , Peace, and Security Policy Paper. in addition to their regular and ongoing women.s weekend broadcasts through femTALK 1325.
