The National Museum houses over 20,000 historical, archaeological, and ethnographic objects, which are at risk from natural disasters and environmental hazards.
The project aims to protect these collections by implementing disaster risk mitigation plans and establishing a new conservation facility and demonstration lab at the Port Royal Museum.
Activities include securing and stabilizing artifacts, installing environmental control equipment, training staff and community members, and conducting public outreach and educational programs.
