Grant Description

Al-Qahira Castle in Taiz is a 12th-century fortress that has served as a landmark and symbol of the city for centuries but suffered extensive damage due to political instability and conflict. This project aims to stabilize and restore sections of the castle and salvage a buried museum collection.

Activities include debris removal, reconstructing facades using traditional materials, restoring internal ceilings and walls, and developing and implementing a management plan to ensure the site's long-term preservation and accessibility.
