Grant Description

A UNESCO World Heritage site recognized for its agricultural and dry stone construction traditions and unique way of life, the Sukur cultural landscape has struggled under the weight of terrorist attacks, the COVID-19 pandemic, economic challanges, and changes in community demographics.

This project combines research and documentation with technical and material support to conserve the site's tangible and intangible heritage.
