Grant Description

Philippopolis, capital of the Roman province was rebuilt in the 3rd century AD with residential and public buildings decorated with mosaic floors. The archaeological mosaics are an important part of the immovable cultural heritage of Plovdiv and Bulgaria. Funds will be used for the conservation, restoration and exhibition of a peristyle building with floor mosaics.
