Grant Description

The "Adormirea Maicii Domnului (Adoration of the Holy Virgin) church in Causeni, Moldova is the most historically valuable religious monument in Moldova. Its interior frescoes from the 5th century AD are reportedly unique in Southeastern Europe.

Funds are for the replacement of the roof, anti-seismic reinforcement of the walls, and reinforcement of interior archway walls.
