Grant Description

In a follow-up project to last year's grant, funds are awarded for a team of Kazakhstani and U.S. archeologists to conduct a survey and site inventory of the Turgen-Teskensu Ecological Park.

Creating a GIS database of the historic sites, conducting surveys, rescue excavations and publishing the results of these studies is a major step in preserving the cultural resources of Kazakhstan.
