Grant Description

Funds are for the restoration and conservation of a section of the 6th century ramparts surrounding the city that were badly damaged by the 1979 earthquake.

In the Middle Ages this natural harbor on the Adriatic coast in Montenegro was an important artistic and commercial center with famous schools of masonry and iconography. The site is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
