Grant Description

To support the second phase of the restoration of the Khoja Mashad Madrassa and Mausoleum. Khoja Mashad dates from the 9th century and is one of the oldest madrassas in Central Asia.

The first phase of the project addressed the problem of water damage by providing drainage and consolidating the foundation. This phase will restore the west side of the structure, part of the original building.
