To support the preservation of two traditional "Omo Hada" type houses built in the early 19th century in two villages on Nias Island.
The Omo Hada Houses were built on stilts towering over 20 meters above the ground, and are now used for gatherings and celebrations. Only five of these houses remain on the island.
The Omo Hada houses, though built to withstand earthquakes, suffered severe structural damage in the Tsunami (December 2004).
