To support the preservation of the nymphaeum by repairing water drainage, consolidating the structure,and cleaning the surrounding area. The Nymphaeum was built during the Roman period (2nd century B.C.) to honor the gods and goddesses for supplying water.
It was damaged in the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1991) and is currently exposed to vandalism, uncontrolled public access, and the elements.
