To support the inventory and conservation of artifacts at the National Museum of Guinea recovered from the site of Niani, the 13th-century capital of the Mali Empire.
The current collection storage environment is inadequate and contributing to the deterioration of the artifacts, which number in the thousands.
This project includes a conservation needs assessment, improvements to the collections storage environment, and other preventive conservation measures.
