To support the development of a preservation plan for the art, architecture, and crafts of Bishnupur. It is urgent to document temples and artifacts that are deteriorating from neglect and vandalism. The Bishnupur Township dates to the 17th and 18th centuries.
Unique monuments contain detailed terracotta work and handicraft (e.g. pottery and weaving) demonstrating Hindu, Islamic, and tribal artistic innovation.
