Funds are awarded for the preservation and conservation of artifacts recovered from salvage excavations at Jinshu, near Chengdu dating from pre 1000 BC. The artifacts include some of the earliest evidence of processing of figurines in gold, ivory and jade.
Preservation and conservation of these finds will allow for greater understanding of this little studied period in Chinese history.
