Grant Description

To support the preseration of Ghwair I by protecting the fragile remains of the city and managing tourism.

Ghwair I, a village in the Wadi Feinan system, is the best-presered settlement representing all phases of the Neolithic period (ca 9000 B.C. - B.C.).

The project will conserve excavated structures, establish paths through the site, and install interpretive signs throughout.
