To support a team of scientists from Mongolia and the Smithsonian Institution studying the history of 3000-year old carved stone plinths, known as Deer Stones, scattered in unprotected sites throughout northern Mongolia.
This project will provide critical information to assist Mongolians in forming social and economic policy that will be sensitive to the preservation of the region.
