To support the conservation of significant buildings in the Lamanai Archaeological Reserve.
The buildings include two 16th century churches, built by Spanish Conquistadors, and the first sugar mill in the district, built by British colonists in the 19th century. The site of Lamanai was inhabited continually for over 3000-years.
Although funding has been directed toward the preservation of Maya temples on the site, the churches and mill have been neglected and are now at risk due to damage from recent hurricanes.
