To enable the preservation of sites in the central region of Nicaragua through inventory and raising awareness in the local community.
Nicaragua is rich in archaeological resources but there is no formal inventory of sites, and those in the central region have never been studied formally. Unregulated tourism is putting archaeological sites at risk. This project will create tools for the proper implementation of laws to protect patrimony.
