The ancient Illyrian castle of Lissus, now Lezha, is an archeological site of landmark importance in Albania, with a history that stretches back to the 4th century BC.
The first phase of this two-year project concentrates on cleaning, consolidating and fortifying the walls, repairing the stone roads which lead to the site, and further archeological excavation and exploration of the site.
