The Department of State provided funding to support the Future of Babylon Project, a cooperative arrangement with the World Monuments Fund in collaboration with the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage. The project is to develop a site management plan for Babylon. The partners will develop a sustainable plan to preserve the site and plan for future uses.
Work for the project commenced in June 2009 and will continue over the next two years. ($666,658).
