To excavate, conserve and highlight the importance of Oursi hu-beero, one of the most important sites for medieval archaeology in West Africa.
Dating from the 10th century AD, it is a rare example of preserved African architecture from this period, and contains well-preserved household equipment from the turn of the first millenium AD.
